This attorney promotes seminars to senior citizens to have them create a trust with his for a flat seminar rate. The trust he provides is boiler plate and most of it isnt relevant to an eldery individual.

My complaint is that when my grandmother died, the trustee decided to use Mr Snyder to administer the trust. Months went by and Mr Snyder did not notify the beneficiaries (me included) that they were in the trust, did not give copies of the trust and will to the beneficiaries (the Trustee, who was also a beneficiary, had a copy but 2 other beneficiaries, including myself, did not). When I finally got a copy from another family member, I contacted Mr Snyders office to ask when we would be notified on change in trustee etc - 2 months later, after my insistance, he sent out a letter filled with typos. I asked for an accounting on the trust for over 2 1/2 months. CA law says that a prelim accounting must be given within 60 days of a request - but Mr Synder doesnt go by the law. My grandmothers trust was very simple, she took care of all liabilities prior to dying of cancer. Mr Snyder is unethical, keeping the beneficiaries in the dark and is only out to milk the trust for as much money as he can. Stay away from his services!

Check out the Law Office of Jerome Snyder with the Orange County Better Business Bureau or the State Bar of California.

There have never been any complaints filed against him.

The person who wrote this negative review is mentally unbalanced.

She was never a client of the Law Office of Jerome Snyder and I performed no legal services for her. I tole her that I ould sue her for defamation and give her a chance to prove her allegations in Court. I never heard from her again.

I purchased his trust and I now refer him to all of my clients. I especially like the fact that I can make changes at any time and there is no additional charge. His references from the State Bar of California and the Better Business Bureau were sterling.

I bought the trust after attending one of his live seminars and have referred several others who were equally satisfied.

I got the trust for hundreds less than others charge and I refer all my friends. I have called several times over the last four years to ask questions and my calls were always returned promptly at no additional chage.

I bought a trust from Jerome Snyder that was complete in every way and saved hundreds of dollars over what I know others charge.

I am the deceased's daughter, one of the four beneficiaries to my mother's trust. I am also the aunt to the trustee who lives about 5 blocks from my home. However she advised me that she has retained Mr. Snyder and all correspondence should go to him. So in effect he has a relationship with my niece, the trust, my mother's first cousin, and ultimately the three other beneficiaries through instruction from the trustee.

My mother passed over 4 months ago. California state law requires that all beneficiaries be notified, provided with copies of the trust, and given a complete accounting of all transactions that have occurred since the deceased of the trustor. Mr. Snyder has not complied with that law. I finally received a copy of the trust two weeks ago from my niece. The other two beneficiaries have never received a copy of the trust. And what I received was only copies of the amendments. I hold the original trust given to me by my mother in 2008.

Repeatedly we have requested a full accounting of all transacations that occurred since my mother's death relatd to her assets, liabilities and the trust. He refuses to acknowledge that request, only supplying us with an amount for the sale of the manufactured hoome (net or gross not determined). Nothing regarding other costs and assets that I know to have been in my mother's possession at the moment of her death.

My mother had me meet with her fiancial advisors in late May, 2010. The balancce of her investment account at that time was about $30,000 more than Mr. Snyder reports.

Additionally, he sent a distribution schedule that is incremental over a year. The total dispersements equal $36,000 for each beneficiary. The remainder is being witheld for a year from my mother's death which will be late August 2011. No mention on an earned income on that witholding amount to be paid to the benficiaries. The balance being witheld is $14,000 times four beneficiaries equals $54,000 being held for a year.

My 83 year old mother lived a frugal existence. I managed all of her financial affairs and was joint holder on many of her accounts. She paid cash for nearly everything. She would not have an unexpected liabilities in the amount of $54,000.

There are additional item at issue here. Unfortunately, I am retaining counsel to represent me... a loss to all beneficiaries and a gain for the attorneys. Read the writing on the wall.

The California Probate Code states that creditors may file claims against a decedent's estate for up to twelve months after death.

If the Trustee of the trust pays out all of the funds of the trust to the beneficiaries right away and there are no funds left to pay creditors then the Trustee of the trust may be personally liable.

Good luck trying to get that money back from the beneficiaries after it has been distributed.

Some lawyers recommend that nothing be distributed until the twelve month filing period has expired.

Our recommendation to clients is that they keep a reasonable reserve in the trust and

pay the balance to the beneficiaries as soon as possible.

That was done in this case.Jerome Snyder

Ms.Jones your complainant is not a client or customer.

She has never purchased anything from me. She is involved with one of my clients in a legal dispute and has threatened to bad mouth me all over town if I don't give in to her demands.

She actually put that demand in writing and I am right now preparing to sue her for defamation.Thank you for this valuable evidence on your web site.
